Cleaning Up and Caring for Willowmore’s Green Spaces
As part of Revive Willowmore’s Town Upliftment initiative, we’re focusing on some of the more neglected parts of our town—particularly the township areas and public green spaces. Over the years, these spaces have been damaged, poorly maintained, and in some cases, turned into informal dumping sites.
We believe that every resident deserves to live in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. That’s why we want to help find practical solutions to these problems—by working together with the community to clean up township areas, establish designated spots for rubbish disposal, and give some much-needed TLC to the green spaces that have been forgotten.
This isn’t something we can or should do alone. It’s about supporting one another, sharing ideas, and rebuilding pride in our surroundings. Whether it’s organising a clean-up, planting trees, or simply encouraging better waste habits, small actions can lead to big change.
By restoring these areas, we’re not just improving the look of the town—we’re strengthening community spirit, respect for public spaces, and hope for a better future.

Karoo Food Gardens Initiative
As we look ahead to 2026, we’re turning our focus to something close to home: helping more households in Willowmore grow their own food.
Food insecurity is a reality for many families in our town, but the Karoo holds its own quiet abundance. With shared knowledge, some basic tools, and a strong sense of community, we believe it’s possible to turn even dry, dusty ground into something that feeds both body and spirit — one backyard at a time.
This project isn’t just about growing vegetables. It’s about restoring confidence, passing on useful skills, and doing something practical and hopeful together.
We’re reaching out to like-minded organisations, learning from those who’ve done this before, and looking for partners who can help us move it forward. Donations, tools, seeds, and compost can go a long way in the right hands.
